A New Home Furnishings Store and a Dream Come True

After 31 years in the furniture business, Asheville native Thom Medford will soon see his dream become a reality. This month, Medford, along with his wife Marsha and son, Eric, is opening a full-service furniture and home furnishings store in Asheville at the historic Innsbruck Mall.

It’s a vision he’s held in his mind since he began: a family-run, community-minded place offering quality furniture at reasonable prices, with a personal touch. “I’ve always wanted to bring a store like this to Asheville.” Medford says. “We’re offering a large variety of brands and expert design services all under one roof.”

The store will also provide free how-to classes on topics like how to buy bedding, working with color, choosing upholstery and budget home decorating. “We’d like to share our knowledge with the community,” says Medford. “And as a locally owned and operated business, we want to find ways to give back.”

“We’re also working with many North Carolina manufacturers,” says Medford. “Supporting both our local and state economy is important to us.”
